Drupal 9 is here

On June 3rd, version 9 of the popular CMS/Framework Drupal was released: Drupal 9 is here. But don't worry! For all those who suffered (and still suffer) the ins and outs of migrating from previous versions to Drupal 8 and are now trembling, we have good news: this time it will be easy. Really easy.
What is Drupal?
For those unfamiliar, Drupal is one of the most widely used CMSs in the world. Widely used and well-known in the publishing and institutional world, it's also the spearhead of many marketing and advertising agencies. It provides powerful tools for working efficiently with content, with its strong points being user and permission management and third-party integrations (although it's a horizontal CMS that allows you to carry out a multitude of different types of projects). It's free software and can be downloaded for free from its website drupal.org.
What's new in this new version?
None. And that's a lot. After undergoing a costly migration to Drupal 8, where the entire code was rewritten and the system redesigned, the developer jamaica mobile database community decided it was best to avoid these drastic changes and evolve the platform gradually, rather than making huge leaps. So Drupal 9 contains the same functionality as the last release of Drupal 8, but it doesn't even have everything Drupal 8 had! Things have been removed. And that's the big news. These elements have been marked as deprecated for some time, that is, marked as not recommended for use because they were going away. This is a common practice in software development and gives developers some time to adapt the code and stop using the old elements and move on to doing things with the new tools that have been gradually introduced.

Will it be easy to update?
Easy. So easy that you don't have to do much more than make sure all your installed modules are compatible with the new version. If not, be patient and wait a bit; the maintainers will likely release the new version soon. Still, there's no reason to rush; Drupal 8 will be supported for quite some time, and you'll still get the much-needed security updates, so there's no need to rush into the next update.

What was supposed to be Europe's largest showcase for Drupal 9 has suffered, like many other events, from the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been delayed and will now be held from December 8th to 11th. The good news is that the venue will remain in Barcelona, so all Spanish marketers will have this phenomenal event, which in other years has been held in Dublin, Vienna, or Amsterdam, right at their fingertips.
