We started out the day after Christmas at Anza Borrego Desert, in CA ,
where there was water everywhere. Both horses just plowed through the water
like it was an every day occurance. After 5 days we headed to Apache Junction .
Which is the Snowbird capital of the world, especially if you have a horse.
We stayed at the base of the Superstition Mts at a stable with full hook-ups and
that really spoiled us. Not one person in the RV part of the stable was from the
West Coast(all from MO. Mostly people with gaited horses so we were with good company.
We hooked up with several people and rode there for
6 days.
The trails were some of the best we'd ever been on and some of the most.
The boys didn't miss a beat! On one trail the horses literally had to
walk one step in front of the raster to vector conversion service other because the trail was so narrow. And on a
very scary part, they had to negotiate up the side of a huge mountain of solid
rock.
If we had known what was coming, I don't think we would have tackled
that trail with youngsters. Over and over again, riders remarked at how good
the boys were for being so young. Many people were surprised that we could
keep up with other riders, and several times Xpress led for everyone else. We're
already making plans to camp there again next year.
In March we're headed for Presscott AZ for a trail ride with about 75 others for
a week. All meals included so it will be like a vacation. Gosh, if you could
ever get away, you would love some of the places we ride. I 'll include a couple
of pictures in another email.
Hello David, We're just back from 10 days of horse camping
