In 2004, a two-day event was held on the main stage for the first time. At the same time, the club night Hotsku and the event for smaller bands at Camping were discontinued. Now it was truly a two-day rock festival. The audience naturally grew and there were as many as 7,200 paying fans during the weekend. The summer of 2004 was also eventful in Juva, as Eppu Normaali performed in the area in June, which attracted as many as 5,000 paying fans. In addition, the 100th anniversary celebration of Juva Osuuspankki was held at the baseball field in Puistola, where 3,000 people came to admire Jari Sillanpää's show. Pikku G performed at Juva's Kaarihalli in June, which also attracted almost 900 people at an event organized by Osuuspankki. The summer was really busy for the concert organizer Kontiainen, as he was organizing every event.

Puustock 2004 experienced the cancellation of one performer. In the morning, it was announced that Negative would have to cancel their gig due to the singer's bronchitis. This was tough news for the band's fans, who had come to the venue in their dozens the night before. The amount of crying and sadness cannot be described. PMMP was replaced telegram number database at short notice. This was successful when Kontiainen called the band's gig vendor to ask what he had available. It turned out that PMMP would be available. The band played one of their first festival gigs in Juva. After Negative had cancelled, an hour passed and we had a replacement in place. Negative fans in the front row showed the middle finger to PMMP's Mira and Paula, but towards the end of the gig they even started dancing to PMMP's rhythm.

Also strange was the ticket theft that took place at Hotel Juva. Tickets that had been on pre-sale were stolen from there: 100 tickets for Friday, Saturday and two-day tickets were stolen, a total of 300 tickets. The tickets were invalidated. The serial numbers of all the tickets were on top. No one tried to change the wristbands on the stolen tickets. That was for the better, because there was a plainclothes police officer and a few other helpful civilians next to the information desk, so they would have been caught for sure. The ticket theft received national media attention. Timo Rautiainen was featured on the 2004 Puustock poster.
