Some of the inventions on Time's list are technologies and objects that change the way we think about design and art.

Illusory Material is a technology for designing industrial design objects. Many of the inventions on Time's list are designed to make life easier for parents (and those who don't want to become them yet). These include travel suitcases that turn into baby cribs and spill-proof bottles. The company Elvie has created an invisible breast pump (pictured) that is invisible under clothes and can be used by mothers anywhere. Entrepreneur Eddie Goodry has developed changing tables for public spaces - with a built-in ultraviolet disinfectant. And the company Emme has come up with a smart pillbox for contraceptives - so you don't forget to take your pill.
